1 Samuel 2:26
And the boy Samuel continued to grow in stature and in favor with the LORD and with men.
We often said that we wants to make God happy, but we don't want to makes men happy.
How this can works?
The Bible said.. everything we did for anyone... it can be our parents, our children, our hubby/wife, or even a stranger... you are doing it for God.
And when you makes someone's heart happy, you are also makes Him happy. :)
In opposite, when you makes someone hurt, you hurt our God as well.
So really we can't "just makes us happy" if we don't love His beloved one: others. :)
Can anyone said they love you but hates your children? Wants to make you happy but hurts your children?

this is so true, and a good reminder, that we hurt God when we hurt others...
It is really hard to be a mother and see your children hurt by those who claim to be Christian, I know I need to pray for them, but it is not easy, but I need to since that is what God commands us to do, pray for others to have hearts open to Him, I desire to love others like God loves me, I am thankful that I am not on my own but can claim His promises that He will give me the strength to do what I need to do In His Name! Thank you for the reminder!
