It's Saturday here already.. finally, weekend! :)
Yesterday I just put a new sketch to the store.. and it's a magical version!

Hybrid Birthday Frame

Hi ladies!
Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone enjoy the mid-week.
Last week I had been working on few hybrid pages lately, but not every thing photographed. This one was made for my friend's hubby birthday. I taking a super quick photograph of this before giving it to her for wrapping. :) The birthday is last Tuesday, 24 Jan 2012.

As some might had noticing by looking at my Daily Tale Products, I have a special love for blocking pages. And I am happy to combine blocking & crafty at the same time here.

Since it's a "daddy" page, I try to avoid cutesy as much as I can do. And for the love of brown, here is the whole page:

Do some stitching here to make sure the wire tied up, with a messy look.

Start from tomorrow until around 4-5 January 2011, I will be out of town, I am not sure if I will have an internet access, so early HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone... when I am back I will do the count for the winner of Daily Tale comment on my blog. It's actually in my mind, too.. however the 1st idea is selling piece per piece with a "bundle price" break into smaller pieces, so everyone can mix and match, that is why as you seen the prices are pretty much a steal,.. however I do will make the bundle for forever sale, but if you grab piece per piece for the month it's released, you actually have it in bundle price, too.
Anyway, just stay tuned, I do will have something for those who grab the whole collection. :)

Dec day 24 - Final Decoration

After a long hard works, when just a few people involved in the decoration, lots of things happen, sickness, broken tools, etc.. the decoration are finally comes to the end. We brought every stuffs we had been working on at my house to Spring Hill, where our Christmas celebration will be held on.

Some additional stuffs made during the time.. using some paint spray, styrofoam cutter, and wire..

More decoration with boxes, painted with brown..

and Ricks hung the letters.. no stair, so we use chairs.. :D

Dec day 23 - Movie & Paint

One of my fave Family time, unsurprisingly is watching the movie. And unsurprisingly, too, I love children movie, such as family cartoon, animal films, etc. Today we choose Arthur's Christmas. I even had a teary moment at the end of the story. You should watch it. :)

Due to some Christmas Church Decoration we were really busy doing it in these past few days, we met Stella, her mom, and Glen before we watch the movie, to deliver some Christmas stuffs. :)

And just a few minutes before I blog, Ruel draw this:

Dec day 12 - Arriving at Singapore

So... I just arrived at Indonesia again this very early morning.. and still feel tired right now.. :)
But our family having a super great time! So glad to finally get the internet back.. :)

Once we were out of the aeroplane.. I was sooo hurry up to take a photo of Ruel in a beautiful spot at the airport before realizing that we are not allowed to take a photo there.. thankfully the airport guy not wanting me to delete this photo.. hehe..

At our 1st 2 days... our family stay at my betsie's house. I am glad to finally met little Michael again. And Ruel also love this cute guy!! So here are both of them when we just arrived..

No MRT at Indonesia.. so my little guy loves this! He sit and stand happily.. and of course another photos taken.. :)

We visit Singapore Science.. not enjoying this as much as I though.. and Ruel still too young to understand this.. however the "sound" place is more interesting.. We were actually expecting planets, because Ruel loves planets, but we didn't see anything really "planet" there.. :)
Actually it was a great place, it just not really fit us yet. :) And since I am not a "science" person.. so well.. this probably the reason I am not "into" this place.

BUT the Snow City is cool! Much too small that I though the place will be, but hey Ruel LOVES this! There's no snow in our country and we never feel it at all.. so the snow-made is fun! Ruel loves the sliding with tire, and we repeat it 3 times.. :) long queue, but well deserve! Love this place!

We are not the one who took these 2 photos at Snow City btw.. we bough it from the counter. :)

Back at my friend's house.. we spend the night at Vivo City.. Toy R Us.. the kids loves there.. and the merlion is made from Lego! Awesome!!

That's our 1st day at Singapore! Love it!

Dec day 10 - Mothers' Day

We were having a really wonderful day today at Tunas Bangsa school.. as we were celebrating Mothers Day. Ruel and all children in this class were creating this card with a cute letter inside. :) The teachers hung it on the rope in front of the class.

This is my little Ruel's "ompong" smile (ompong means: "no teeth"), this new smile surely makes me smile, too. Hehe..

And this is him and friends performing a very sweet song about mama and papa.. :)

And the greatest of all.. :D
Mommy and Child's Make Up competition.. it should be called "make-down" instead actually. :D

Ruel is so so so excited! He draw crazily on my face.. but a little unfair as he doesn't want me to draw on him. I end up looks so silly but hey, we won! 2nd winner. Not bad at all! Hahaha.. It was fun! I always happy join a kid's event like this! A child in me never satisfied! Hehehe..

This is my day 10! I had skip day 9 yesterday, although I have photos to go, probably I will post tomorrow. Been very tired and fall a sleep earlier yesterday. :)

Dec day 9 - Chapel

It'd been awhile.. but I got a chance to take some photo shoot at Ruel's chapel at the school today.
I always love to be involved with Ruel's school activity as it gonna be a moment for me to watch Ruel's interaction with other people instead of his own family. :)

It was an amazing fun moment as always! The kids are cute, funny, and adorable! They are a treasure comes from heaven! :)

Dec day 8 - This Smile

So it’s this day again, bad camera day when I forgot to buy a new battery for the flash but I don’t wanna loose this simple cute everyday moment of Ruel watching his fave movie: Tom and Jerry. I just love his super smile. Ruel loves movies and he often said that he wants to make a movie one day, car movie specifically, he called it Cars 3D. But Tom and Jerry always be the one that can makes him laugh hard. :)

I am very busy these few days, catching up everything before starting my holiday. on 12-16 December my family & I will fly to Singapore for a family holiday. :) Finally!

Dec day 7 - Traveling to Grocery Store, the Jumping Ruel, and a Letter to Miss

We are arriving to the end of 1st week of December, Day 7! :)
I have a really BUSY day and almost not home the whole day, however I spend a little time with Ruel traveling with me to a grocery store near the house: Circle K at 10.59. :)

It could be because the good music at the grocery store, but most of all his happy heart that makes him decide to dance and jump-jump-jump all over the store. :) Which makes me grin from ear to ear of course. But not when I said he can't bough a candy because he still cough. Haha.. That one surely erase his smile awhile. But gladly just awhile. :D

2 days ago, Ruel promise his teachers that when mommy write a permission letter for school for him to skip the school , holiday to Singapore, he wants to draw on the letters. He did that tonight, seriously and fun in the same time. :)

Do some scanning, write on the printed version of his hand drawn, print my Hope and Joy kit's papers.. and TADAAA...

Here are his hand drawn... see the lion on the image? In Indonesia it's means: "singa". :) When we say we are going to Singapore, he draws the lion. Pretty cute, I think. :)

Dec day 6 - Ruel's Experiment and Oh-the-love-of-Planets!

Day 6 on December 2011 is about Ruel experimenting sleeping on the floor. Go up stair and grab a chair bag from papi’s office, put in on the floor in our room and he start to sleep. Of course he wasn’t really happy when he woke up as it’s hot. But at the night he try again to play with socks on his hands and feet and sleep on the chair bag again. Lately he loves to experimenting with various things. It’s really cute seeing him being “creative” although it’s messy.

*is it call "chair-bag"? I am not sure, somebody wanna help telling me what is that yellow pillow chair thingy called?*

Today, I decide to play with some colors after creating more whites these past few days.. :)

Oh, and still about Ruel and his socks!

See how he put the socks on his hands? That's his new trend. :)

Night is when Ruel asking his daddy about the earth, the planets, what does it look, is it hot, is it round, and everything about it, and he & Ricks watching the planet with I-phone. I love to see his interest with planets, pretty much like me when I was a kid... :)

PS2: and answering what Katie asked me at Dec Day 5 - Spider Web .. yes, I let Ruel draw on all the walls in our room. Not in the whole house, just the room. He can draw, or stick his hand drawn here and there on the wall, whatever he wants. When I was a kid, I always wanna do that, when I don't have a full permit for doing this, I had a room in my childhood where we never use it upstair and I draw on the walls everywhere. I love it! :) And I want my son love it without concerning about the beauty, harmony, or whatever. Just let him experimenting, and explore. Later.. I will just paint them all! :)

Dec day 5 - Spider Web

Dec day 4 - A Little Pose and a Suffering Fever

This is my late Day 4 post. :)
Starting the day with a weird feeling on my body makes me skip the church today while Ruel and his daddy still go. Feel a little better {I though} later on, we decide to go to Artha Gading Mall so Ruel can play while me & Ricks met our friend and pastor today for a little chat. We took these crazy photos in front of the tree with Ricks' phone camera:

In the end we just visit the mall only one hour because I was feeling not well and prefer to take a rest at home. And in the middle of the night, the fever start. I got almost 40 C fever I never ever got again for years. So weird. Still dizzy until now, but no longer hot & shiver.

That's my short Day 4. :)

Still enjoy it a bit though!

Ruel and Lego

Our son Ruel is really addicted to vehicle since the beginning, but he usually only play with common toys, lately he start to get interest with Lego, building his own cars, boats, aeroplanes. Although since the Lego are small, it's kinda hard for him to pull out the lego. However a tiny boat created today, and this time I decide to took some photos of it. :)

I am happy with his new interest. At least this can train his patient. Hehe.. More lego will coming to our house for sure. I love it myself! And happily play with Ruel today before start to work!

Chapel experience

Yesterday, I was invited to preach at children's chapel at Ruel's school. :)
Here are some of the tools I made for it:

23 Sept 2011 | Friday

The chapel experience was fun, it just like I was back to 5-6 years ago. The children were amazing, some of them hugs me and touch me. :) Just like a one day popularity. LOL.
But the best of it is the shine on Ruel's eyes and the way he said that he is happy to have me preaching at the chapel. :)

I always happy to spend a little time involved at Ruel's school. Peeking on what he'd been doing without me. :) Usually I never told him if I will come to the school, so it can be a surprise. But this time I did. It was fun, too. When the children were guessing which teacher preach today, Ruel was smiling, grin from ear to ear as he knows it will be me, not the teachers. :)
It was also the 1st time parents involved preaching at the school.

Love it. Thank God and the teachers!

Family Gathering

The kit I have today called: CONNECTED. I am pretty much inspire with human relationship when creating this kit. The way we can love each other, connected and united forever. If you following my twitter and my pinterest you might notice that I'd been collectiong star & dream quotes and art for awhile. Lately I had been thinking about my own dreams that pretty much left behind.

Anyway I just create this today. Just a little fun things to start the day. Drawing this on the floor with some paint after I finished my illustration for a client.

Be blessed by grace

Today when I 'play' twitter like I usually do, a friend of mine, wrote something interesting which I will translate into English: "Don't teach God how He going to bless you." I found myself thinking about this the whole day. It's pretty much related on what I had my mind these days, what been discussed with my Warna Warni Mimpi's partner, which I appreciate, respect so much by the way he transform his problem into the way to glorified the Lord. And of course what had been shared by both my young Pastors.

I have a good news on this, we Christian are blessed and will be blessed. And it has nothing to do with the lists of things we have to do.

New International Version | MATTHEW 7:7 | "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

However before we get into the prayer, let's remember one thing:

Prayer is a communication based on relationship not only a list of request.

God wants us to communicate with Him as His friend, His lover, not just because it is what we "have to do as a Christian". We often heard the responsible we have to do as a Christian, such as wake up in the morning, read the Bible, and pray. And we did that, wake up early even when we sleep very late at night, and being a little 'proud' that we had pay the price as a Christian. :) Tell ya a lil secret... my prayer time, the time while I connected the most to Jesus is at night while everyone slept and I have my night all alone. :) The best time I have.

Being a Christian is more than that. Prayer is communication between a lover to a lover.
It is just when we close our phone tonight and sleep, and can't wait to united again tomorrow morning with our lover. Same as us longing to united again with Christ in eternity one day.

I pray that in my limited ability to share, when you read this you can step in to a deeper understanding of God and His blessing, and His grace once again. And God will take you burden away and fill you with His love.

Many Christians, including me, had been trapped in to the situation in "pray hard and work hard" to get God's blessing. The sign of these usually shown when we been working too hard or trying too hard. Or even worse, catch our self thrown into depression. We forget that everything are by the grace. And not by our power, but by HIS POWER.

PS: I have to add this, that I, too, had been trapped into the 1st situation, I work too hard and almost fall in to depression until I realize that I had been "out of grace".

Some also use other method. Bless others, donate, doing charity, pay our tithe.. and expecting God's blessing as the result. Expecting God's blessing is NOT wrong. IT IS written in the Bible. But we can not manipulate God to send us blessing. We have to understand fully that IF God bless us, it's SIMPLY because: HE LOVES US. Nothing else.

He gives because He loves us.
He loves us, and He bless us because of that.
that simple.

We are not blessed because:
1. We pray 10x a day
2. We doing a big charity to other people
3. We pay our tithe
4. We work harder
5. We work less
6. We are smarter
7. We are better
8. We are holier
9. We are loyal
10. We read the Bible A LOT
and the list go on.

And if that is the list to be blessed, I am surely will turn to be the poorest creature ever, as I have none of the lists in me.

We are blessed because of grace. And it has nothing to do with what we do, or WHO we are.

Let's not get trapped into the situation and thinking that because we ARE holy then we are blessed.
Because we, human, can never be holy if it is not because of God.
It is written in the Bible:

New International Version | 1 PETER 1:16 | for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."

Which means: It is GOD that makes you holy. Without God, you will never NEVER be holy. Holiness has nothing to do with your effort. Same as you can not work hard to be holy and get blessed.

Remember there's a darkness age in the Corinthian church (Read Corinthian 3). Even at the moment Paul said:

New International Version | 1 COR 3:16 | Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?
Paul said, you ARE, not you WERE. Even after all the sins they had done, Paul still mention that they are God's temple. Holiness has nothing to do with what you do. Again it is God's grace.

Let's get back to prayer and blessing. :)
We can just take an easy conclusion that BLESSING = 100% GRACE

Grace can pick people up from the deepest valley into the top of mountain.
Grace can pick people up from the darkest night to the brightest sunshine.

If you have a little time to read, 2 SAMUEL 9 is talking about Mephibosheth
He is a son of Jonathan, David's best friend. Mephibosheth was crippled in both feet. And in that century he is useless & wasted. But because David knows his father:

2 SAMUEL 9:7 | “Don’t be afraid,” David said to him, “for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will always eat at my table.”

This turns to be Mephibosheth's happily ever after life:

2 SAMUEL 9:13 | And Mephibosheth, who was crippled in both feet, lived in Jerusalem and ate regularly at the king's table.

This is such a good news! Because Kitty doesn't have to be super Kitty or super holy Kitty to eat in the same table with the King.
Kitty doesn't have to be super smart Kitty or super creative Kitty, or super popular Kitty, - you name it - to eat in the same table with the King.
Because, believe me or not, EACH OF US have our own disability. No matter it's labeled or not. We are all broken people. But because the KING knows we are owned by Jesus, Our Savior. We will be able to sit next to the King.

Jakarta At Night

Jakarta at night, last Friday, 29 July 2011.
Stuck like a river of junk.

Every Friday night, the traffic around Jakarta is a huge pain. So we usually choose to stay at home or going out before the office hour end. However sometimes we just can't avoid the traffic.
Last Friday instead of being a grumpy grumbler I decide to take a shoot of these. Bad lighting for sure, so I have to put the ISO higher. And while I use my camera to take some photos, Ruel use my handphone to take some, too. It's pretty much turn to be a little fun activity for awhile. :) Of course after that we wiiiish the traffic will gets better again. :D

What I Love Today

What is your daily routine?

For me every day I spend most of the time at computer, watching Ruel playing, laughing.
Yesterday I feel extremely bored and wanna do something different. But it's Wednesday, middle of the week and I definitely can't go out and have fun and leave the family, after all I am a mom. So I steal some time while Ricks were playing basket ball with church friends and go to a near Mall, Mall of Indonesia, and spend around 3 hours there, bringing my computer, sit at Starbucks, ordering Ice Signature Chocolate, without whip cream of course. And start to work.. And it does make a difference in my mood. So anytime you get bored, go and do something different, even a very little one, trust me it does make a difference, at least for me. :)

I draw a little of my daily activity yesterday:

I took some photos of Ruel playing baloon. Ignore the ugly background. :P It's a daily photo anyway. :)

It's a good day after all. I chat with Winnie (Charlize) and Lydia after a long break, I think months after our last chat. And we update each other with our latest news. Talking about family, design, health, and supporting each other. And I feel good doing that. I had meet both of them in real life. Me and Lydia know each other from scrapbooking, but me and Winnie had know each other from other Indonesian forum at 2002.

Anyway, I am glad to be able to "fix" my mood, having a little "me" time, connected again with friends, and still enjoy my family.

What are you doing when you are bored? :)
